Super Good Time Studio is the collaborative practice of Patrick Ethen and Ellen Rutt - two of Detroit, Michigan’s most dynamic emerging visual artists. Patrick is a light artist and architectural designer, while Ellen is a painter and graphic designer. Having such different skill sets provides a unique opportunity to explore territory neither of them might tread on our own. Within their distinct disciplines they find considerable overlap in their interest in color, patterns, textures, space, good house music, nonsensical humor, puns and breakfast burritos. Since 2014 they’ve created numerous murals, art pieces, and public installations. Their work is bright, immersive, and most importantly, playful.
